Amen is a national support service for male victims of Domestic Abuse. Through education and training we are developing an increased awareness of male victims of domestic abuse and the challenges that they face.
As part of this work, we deliver talks and workshops to secondary school students from transition year upwards, throughout Ireland. A typical presentation covers; types of abuse and the effects it can have on a man, issues that male victims face, statistics, reasons men do not report Domestic abuse, abusive relationships and healthy relationships. We also discuss the support and services that Amen offers to male victims and their families. We believe that all students regardless of gender, will find our talk or workshop beneficial as they enter adulthood.
If your group of students are working on Domestic abuse as part of their project work, we are delighted to tailor our training to accentuate their learning.
We look forward to hearing from you and working with you.
