The Association of Teachers of Spanish in Ireland (ATS) exists to support and promote the teaching and learning of Spanish in Irish Secondary Schools. We host various CPD opportunities to encourage innovation and synergy through the exchange of information between teachers. These include our annual Conference and Teachmeet held in October and our Spring Workshops. We also organise student centred events such as a debating competition and table quiz for senior students of Spanish.

Our purpose and mission is to promote and encourage a high standard of teaching in the Spanish language classroom and create a vibrant Spanish community where teachers can engage in and share ideas and experiences with each other. Membership costs €10 which entitles you to access to our events at preferential rates; information about and opportunities for job vacancies and substitution, courses, events, and student exchange; representation on national and international language groups and a shared learning forum via our Facebook private group.
