We offer student workshops and Peer Mentoring Programmes in Restorative Practice.

Level One: CONNECT In – Building Relationships through Positive Communication

We will explore how to develop restorative skills and how to cultivate a restorative mindset using restorative values, intentions and language. The first session (half day) offers an overview of RP and how it consciously builds relationships; we focus on the restorative values and how the restorative practices are values in action. The second session (half day) focuses on developing students’ awareness of EQ and an understanding, identifying and transforming difficult emotions such as anger and shame. We explore restorative language and how it brings us from shame to empathy and connection.

Level Two: CONNECT Out – Leadership Peer-Mentoring Programme

Offer an overview of RP and develops the capacity of leaders / peers to facilitate restorative practices with groups (usually aimed at 1st/ 2nd year students). The first session (half day) explores how to live the restorative values as leaders and develops active listening skills and to facilitate relationship- building circles to cultivate community and grow a sense of love and belonging. The second session (half day) outlines how to facilitate restorative meetings to support others to manage conflict in a creative way that facilitates empathy, personal accountability and connection.
