GOAL provide active and participatory Development Education workshops to secondary schools across Ireland. Workshops for secondary schools are developed to engage students in global issues, help them to develop an understanding by linking local to global issues and support them to take action and become active global citizens.

In 2017/18 GOAL is offering our popular ‘Exploring Conflict’ workshop to schools. This workshop explores the theme of conflict, drawing on historical and current events, and GOAL’s experience, in current conflict situations such as Syria, providing students with a platform to discuss, debate and plan for action and change.

Workshops are free of charge and take place in the students’ own classroom. Workshops last approx. 2/3 class periods. Max. 35 students per workshop.
