Trócaire’s Development Education (DE) work engages children, young people and educators through a process of interaction, reflection and action. They are supported to make connections between their own lives and international social justice issues, and be empowered to make a positive difference in the world.

Trócaire’s Development Education team provides:

• Educator support: offering training programmes to teachers in the post-primary sector
• Resources:a range of development education resources to support educators in exploring and critically examining global justice and human rights issues, using a range of teaching and learning methodologies focussed on active participation and critical thinking.

• School workshops:We deliver school workshops on a variety of theme linked to our work. We also will be running cluster workshop events for students throughout the country during the academic year.
